spinach, feta, portabello... oh my?

Beka made spinach and feta burgers with grilled portabello mushrooms and scratch scalloped potatoes on the side (this time with a baby swiss instead of cheddar).

spaghetti alla carbonara

Beka made pasta from scratch to make spaghetti alla carbonara.

Pushkin was sleeping in the chair today in an odd position... Beka checked, he was still breathing despite the belly up.

When she went to take a picture, he woke up and stared back... creeeeeepppyyy....

beer tasting

We had a beer tasting on the roof with some friends. Delightful fun and good laughs. We should repeat similar things soon...

Doug and I ventured to New Jersey to the same mall that the Seinfeld episode about getting lost in the parking lot was shot in (Coincidentally, that episode was on TV today).

Doug bought Beka a ring out of a bubble gum machine in the food court for the full middle school effect of hanging out in a mall on a Monday off from school.

Beka got a Vera Wang coat for 60% off...

and shoes! Beka got new shoes! Between Friday and Monday, Beka collected 5 new pairs. The most expensive pair was 12.75...

Doug also found some shirts, jeans, and sandals.

Oh, and then we found something for Beka's Mom. The man took the Brussels Griffon out after Beka started gawking and pointing. He was very affectionate and loved getting to run around the floor to see what everyone was doing in the store. The guy also told us that the person responsible for creating Ewoks in the Star Wars movies had 15 Brussels Griffons. 15. So apparently, Brussels Griffons don't look like Ewoks; Ewoks look like Brussels Griffons.
