we had a great day at a brooklyn swap and then at a cook out at a local park... fantastic day.

This was Beka's first class to only have her as a teacher for confirmation...

of course, we had to go to brooklyn and the brewery... it was during a food festival, so there was tasty tasty foods to go with the beers...

how we celebrated nikki's birthday

We went out for part of Nikki's birthday and then came home for homemade ice cream, homemade cake, and homemade beer with friends.

We went up to Doug's lab for a picnic... Doug showed us the Nevis Mansion, the local dear, and his growing hops.

Nikki was ready to fend off any danger along the "path" Doug was taking us on.

Both Beka and Doug took some vacation time for Nikki being in town, so we made sure to take in the sights... and the beer.
