That's right... there is a cat toy app for the iphone. Given that it is free and that many other cats liked it... we thought we'd try it.

Eva was less than impressed... Pushkin just walked away... Then Eva decided it was more fun to be cute...

and fall...

1. Back to School -- Eva was ready

2. We took Eva outside on a leash -- just to see what she'd do. She hated it.

3. Pushkin was jealous. So we put Eva in and brought him out and he loved it. Then Eva was jealous.

4. Eva's jealousy pushed her to new lows.

5. Beka saw lil'john on the street randomly. He was trying to get people to buy pizza. Later in the day, Mark McGrath and Meatloaf were scheduled to show. Beka didn't stay.

6. Who knew that you could stuff and bake those itty bitty little pumpkins?

7. We payed a visit to Monster at the Brooklyn Brewery while Nate and Laura payed us a visit.

8. Doug drank a bulldog. For real -- thats what they called they Beer-garita.

9. 5 people for trivia means we buy our beer the economical way -- in bulk.

10. While handing out candy to neighborhood kids on Halloween, Doug started to play with it...

summer...

posting has been few and far between... but here's some of what we did over the summer...

5. reason why beka has faith in future generations -- they are awesome already

7-8. new flor tiles. 50 cents each and kittie approved.

9. taking advantage of a day cool enough to use the oven.

13-15. fireworks at the brooklyn cyclones game... incredibly close fireworks.

we moved.

it's true. we moved. yes, this is part of the reason why nothing has happened on here.

We moved at the very end of February -- that weekend when NYC had the huge blizzard. Yeah, we moved everything to Queens that weekend. It was kinda horrible. The picture with the snow is Doug's very first time shoveling snow...

The cats were of course no help.

Beka's mom got her a wind up Luther and a few other things for her birthday. The cats weren't very impressed with Luther.

beka was given a big fluffy robe for christmas by a teacher at the church. it came in a big red, half box that she gave to the cats; which they love. this does make the amount of cat fights rise over who gets to be in the box. at first eva was the only inhabitant, but then pushkin decided he should get a turn. here's how the process goes:


1. Pushkin looms near box. Eva wakes up defensively.

2. Pushkin tries to bite Eva's ears and neck. Someone yells at Pushkin to stop. He looks back at us, laughing in his head.

3. Eva brings out the smack down.

4. Eventually Eva runs away and Pushkin is declared victorious.

After 2 Old Year's Night Services and carefully avoiding all things having to do with Times Square, we got home to a bottle of chilled champagne (given to us as a gift). Realizing we didn't really like champagne that much, we went for the brunch classic -- mimosas. And Eddie Izzard. And Eddie Izzard and Mimosas.
