reception

Here are the pictures from the reception... in no particular order.

Their wedding favor was decks of cards. So our table (and anyone we could suck in to our table) played horse race — a game taught to Doug by this guy.

(Thank you Matt!)
Later it was drunken Uno and 7,14,21.

Perhaps needless to say, we all had a good time.

post-ceremony photo session

There was of course the after ceremony time to take lots and lots of pictures... Beka hopes that some of the professional photos had more consistently open eyes and straight faces... Course somethings are more representative of reality...

Oh, and anytime there's a mark in the corner, it is because it's someone else's picture.

seamus and kelly's ceremony

Beka didn't realize she wasn't supposed to take pictures during the ceremony... whoops... Her eldest brother got married over labor day weekend...

liz!

That was then...

This is now...

wow, just wow

Maybe we've been in NYC too long where the liquor stores are 2 aisles and the beer is small group of shelves in the grocery store and usually our favorites aren't there... but Woodman's liquor was incredible. And cheap.

rehearsal dinner

arriving in wisconsin

More pictures will come later, but as many of you know, we ventured out to Wisconsin for Beka's brother's wedding. We arrived in the airport and were greeted by Lucius and Janice (Beka's other brother and sister-in-law) and began to drive from Milwaukee to Appleton. It was a pretty fun ride considering the company.

Beka got overly excited when we passed the Leine 10th Street Brewery. Although that's not why we were late to the rehearsal — Beka didn't convince Lucius to pull over...

who takes up more space in bed...

Pushkin? or Doug?

Beka's still not sure, but she has proof that Pushkin hogs the bed.

breaking in the blender

We've already mentioned that we got a blender, so we thought we should break it in with some friends.

So we had a small crowd (including Ryan who just moved to New York - Yay!) and we made strawberry daiquiris, pina coladas, and margaritas (plain, kiwi, and mango). Fantastic evening with fantastic people!

The only thing ruining our evening was loud music from neighbors until 2:40 in the morning. Uncool. Very uncool.

three philosophers

We tried a new beer after it being highly recommended by Beka's brother Lucius. Not too bad.

(And yes, we drank beer our of wine glasses -- we didn't really have the appropriate glass for such a beer.)

books and blenders

Doug is getting things for going back to school.

Can you tell whose new books are whose?

And we got a blender from a back to school sale... time for smoothies!
