fourth of july

This year we were excited that the Macy's fireworks were moved from the East side to the West side of Manhattan. Some of you may remember last year when we didn't really have a view of fireworks. We figured it would be much easier for us to see everything and we could have a nice afternoon/evening watching fireworks and enjoying Dinosaur BBQ.

We had learned our lesson from last year and did not have visible beer... just doritos.

But even still, good bbq was the only good thing of the evening. We had absolutely no view of the fireworks. Again.

3 years

We celebrated our three year anniversary with a nice dinner at a french bistro and then went out for a movie.

youth showcase

There was a youth showcase at the church to benefit the youth trip to New Orleans next month. Our friend Ryan came out and helped to lead improv with a group. More pictures on the church's facebook and website.

Our neighbor's animals sometimes come out to the fire escape... Eva isn't too sure about it... Pushkin just watches from afar...

so hard to say goodbye...

Many friends graduated this year. We got a chance to say good bye to some of them who are leaving the city now (like Stephanie and Kim).

yogurt

Pushkin really likes yogurt. He knows what the sound of pulling the lid off is and comes running from anywhere in the apartment. This time he got a little over zealous and although you can't really see it, he has it all over his nose.

surprise!

Beka kept her mouth shut that Nikki's friend Danielle was coming to surprise her in New York for her birthday.

We all met up at Tony DiNapoli's for delicious dinner and had some drinks after.

Nikki had no idea. :)
