Beka has been skeptical that beating heavy cream can produce something as fantastic as whipped cream for much of her adult life since she had never seen it done, nor did she have the machinery or physical endurance in her right arm to produce stiff peaks from a liquid. But, since we actually did some grocery shopping, there was fruit and heavy cream in the fridge (the heavy cream is for ice cream this weekend). So she thought she'd give it a try... lo and behold, after a few minutes and a whirring stand mixer...
